History of the Firm
Fisha Attorneys was founded in May 2017 by Masilo Benny Fisha, with a clear vision to create a law firm that places people at the centre of legal practice. From its inception, the firm has consistently assisted clients in resolving a wide range of disputes, offering reliable legal guidance and representation across various areas of law. Over the years, Fisha Attorneys has steadily grown while maintaining its core values of personal service, diligence, and excellence.
The firm is proudly based in Ferndale, Randburg, within the Gauteng Province, positioning it at the heart of South Africa’s economic hub. This strategic location enables the firm to serve clients locally, nationally, and, where necessary, beyond South Africa’s borders.

The firm’s main objective was to create a dynamic, small, and accessible practice for the people, where clients receive the same standard of service, expertise, and professionalism typically associated with large mainstream law firms, but at a more affordable and transparent rate.

Mokgadi Jeniffer Ngwasheng
Candidate Attorney | B.A., LLB (Hons) | Rhodes University
Mokgadi Jeniffer Ngwasheng joined Fisha Attorneys in 2025 as a Candidate Attorney. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and an LLB (Hons) degree from Rhodes University, equipping her with a strong academic foundation and well-rounded legal training. Jeniffer works closely with the Director of the firm, providing support across various areas of practice, including legal research, drafting of legal documents, and case preparation. She is committed to professional growth and delivers her work with diligence, attention to detail, and a client-focused approach.
Lungile Phakathi
Trainee Paralegal | Networx
Lungile Phakathi is a Trainee Paralegal at Fisha Attorneys, having completed her paralegal training through Networx. She works closely with the legal team, assisting with administrative and paralegal support functions that ensure the smooth running of the firm. Lungile plays a key role in file management, document preparation, and client support, and is known for her reliability, organisational skills, and strong work ethic.
About the Founder
Masilo Benny Fisha is the founder and driving force behind Fisha Attorneys, bringing over a decade of diverse legal experience, strategic insight, and a modern approach to legal practice. He holds an LLB degree from the University of Pretoria, which he completed in 2007, laying a strong academic foundation for his legal career.
Masilo completed his articles at Deneys Reitz Attorneys Incorporated (now Norton Rose Fulbright) in 2010, where he gained exposure to high-level legal practice within a leading international law firm environment. During this period, he developed extensive experience in general and insurance litigation, personal injury and insurance law, labour and employment law, as well as banking and finance law. This formative experience shaped his commitment to excellence, precision, and results-driven legal solutions.
He was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in April 2010 and went on to further refine his expertise in employment law at Makhafola and Verster Incorporated, where he specialised in all aspects of labour and employment matters. His career trajectory then led him into the corporate sector as an in-house attorney at Summit Financial Partners, where he advised on all matters relating to the National Credit Act, gaining valuable commercial and regulatory insight.
In February 2011, Masilo joined Mchunu Attorneys as an Associate. His leadership capabilities and legal acumen saw him promoted to Senior Associate in 2012, and subsequently to Director in March 2013. These roles strengthened his experience in managing complex legal matters, leading teams, and providing strategic counsel to clients.
Driven by a vision to create a client-centred, agile, and accessible legal practice, Masilo founded Fisha Attorneys in May 2017. His goal was to bridge the gap between large-firm expertise and personalised service, offering clients high-quality legal representation without the impersonal nature or excessive cost often associated with mainstream firms.
Masilo Fisha is a duly admitted attorney of the High Court and a member of the Law Society of the Northern Provinces, and he continues to lead Fisha Attorneys with integrity, innovation, and a forward-looking approach to legal practice.
